When the lights start to dance…
the show begins! There also is a lot of technology behind this performance, SOMMER Cables play a great role here! The power for the lights and the control signals for the movement must be transmitted through the cables.
Both are paired in a robust cable jacket, providing the input for the light mixing board and other DMX 512-dependent control units.
The SC-MONOLITH POWER/DMX holds one power cable 3 x 1.5 mm² and one (SC-MONOLITH 1), two (SC-MONOLITH 2) or four (SC-MONOLITH 4) DMX 512-cables.
The SC-MONOLITH 4 has two DMX-cables available for transmission of intercom signals. Each DMX-wire pair is shielded with a tin-plated copper spiral and both wire pairs are numbered for better identification. The SC-MONOLITH 8 is designed for large events and holds 8 cables with return channels (8 x 4 x 0.20 mm).
The power cable is designed in compliance with VDE and has its own jacket for added safety.
The AES/EBU-cable can also be used as a microphone cable or as an infeed cable for active speaker systems.
